Fine Timber Tasmania

Fine Timber Tasmania Inc (FTT) is a not-for-profit organisation comprised of member businesses and organisations, reflecting the makeup of the specialty timber supply chain in Tasmania. Members include growers of certified forests, sawmillers, manufacturers, designer makers and retailers of fine Tasmanian timber products.

FTT has responded to the market trend of increasing consumer awareness and the concern over the origin of purchases. The Fine Timber Chain of Custody system, CoC, is an innovative and credible program that guarantees that the exotic Tasmanian timber has been legally sourced from sustainably managed forests and represents a responsible purchase decision.

The System Coordinator

TQA Australia was appointed by Fine Timber Tasmania Inc as the coordinator of their Chain of Custody system.

The coordinator is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and development of the Chain of Custody system that complies with AS 4707. The coordinator acts on behalf of the licensees.
